Tracy graduated from the University of Manitoba Baccalaureate Nursing Program, and developed a keen interest in maternal child health and wellness, working at St. Boniface General Hospital’s labour/delivery unit, postpartum care unit and newborn intensive/intermediate care unit over the years. Valuing lifelong learning, she began teaching nursing students, both in-class theory content and clinically in Maternal Child Nursing Care, at the U of M and Red River College Polytechnic Baccalaureate Nursing Programs 11 years into her career. In 2016, she completed graduate studies at U of M achieving a Master’s Degree in Adult Education with honors. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Perinatal & Women’s Health Nurses (CAPWHN) allowing her to maintain and grow in evidence informed knowledge about maternal child care in today’s current practice.
Tracy is very passionate and enthusiastic about supporting, empowering, and building confidence in pregnant woman and their support person to provide high-quality care and education, so they can achieve the best possible physical, emotional and psychological outcomes for their family unit. She looks forward to filling your toolbox with all sorts of resources/tools to assist you to feel accomplished, in control of your experience, and confident in making informed decisions about your care.
Above all, she really wants you to feel that you are not forgotten after the birth of your baby- Better Bump Co. is all encompassing, and Tracy can’t wait to meet and work with you.
